On Feb 19th we featured Wendy O'Brien, co-founder of Heartprint. They are supporting the community with houses, toilets, water wells, and many other things.
But one thing we are especially drawn to is the fact that if girls have bikes they can get to school.
So we want to make a difference and help 12 girls (at least) to be able to do this.
Bikes are $50USD, which is around $65AUD
We'd love you to help us achieve this goal.

Girls With Hammers is an initiative by Kerryn Vaughan and Nicky Williams focused on presenting events aimed at empowering women. No we're not about power tools or wood working classes although they do sound pretty neat and we just might include this down track! But for now we are about making sure women have what they need to be strong, treated fairly and respected for who they are rather than who society expects them to be. Essentially we support an 'I CAN' attitude and know without a doubt that every woman is incredible - some just need to find their feet. Over many years of campaigning for equality by millions of women, it seems that women as a whole are still a long way from achieving that ultimate goal. This troubles us deeply so we've decide we're not going to sit around and complain about it - we are doing something about it!
Conferences – Both our 2018 and 2019 Gippsland Conferences were massive successes, and we couldn't be more proud. Our keynote in 2018 was the incredible Jean Kittson - comedian, TV & radio personality and celebrated author. And in 2019, the legendary celebrity doctor and radio host, Dr Sally Cockburn (AKA Dr Feelgood). Both keynotes were very endearing, funny, friendly and so down to earth. At both conferences our other brilliant speakers gave heaps of simple life changing strategies, reaffirming our mission to inspire women to be the best they can be, particularly in terms of believing in themselves and honouring their truth.
Workshops – If you are looking for workshops that give you the opportunity to dig deeper in a safe space, explore who you truly are and what's important to you then join us. We love nothing more than supporting women to remove all those nasty restrictive barriers and get exactly what they want out of life by daring to dream and making it happen. It's easier than you think!
Mission statement – To empower every woman we work with to live the life she deserves.
Why us? – Why not! Both Kerryn and Nicky have extensive experience in the social sector working with vulnerable families, and have empowered countless women. Kerryn is also a speaker, author, NFP director, trainer, podcast host and behaviour specialist. Kerryn's dynamic energy graces the stage, while Nicky's business management skills keep the show running very smoothly from behind the scenes. By bringing our skills and experience together to form Girls With Hammers, we hope many women (and girls) will have the opportunity to gain self confidence and be the voice for a world that encourages women to shine.
