Lutfiye Kavci

Lutfiye Kavci is a survivor of Domestic Violence. She is a strong, courageous and ambitious young woman who survived an attempted murder, all whilst she was a mother to a four-month-old baby. 

Lutfiye is passionate about inspiring others and raising awareness of Domestic and Family Violence.

‘I was going to be another women who lost her life to Domestic Violence. Being a survivor was very difficult, and I had to learn to be a survivor all while learning how to be a 1st time mother. Now I’m here, to be a voice for those who lost theirs, a warrior for many and a hero for all survivors. 

I have the power to make a change, and I will give all my determination to make that happen. As I always say “I am a woman, I am a mother, I am stronger than you and, I don't need a knife!”.’

Lutfiye wants to encourage people to seek help and wants them to know that they can continue life positively and not be consumed or 

controlled by their experiences.
